Andorra is currently discussing a draft bill for approving its Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Act.

Andorra is currently discussing a draft bill for approving its Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Act. Today, October 1st, the Parliament will discuss the last amendments proposed by other groups.

I have the honour to be the Andorran contributor of the International Guide on Cryptocurrency and Blockchain published yearly by Global Legal Insights.

Since some time ago, Andorra has aimed to position the country as an important hub in Digital Economy and IT developments. Hopefully, this law and the Act on Digital Economy and Innovation help attract talent and entrepreneurs in these areas.

As a reference, I attach the link to the Swiss chapter since this country is the most advanced in promoting cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. In some cantons, the payments to public administration can be made with bitcoins (Zug).
